Hi, I am Monique

Welcome to Greener Life Inverloch
Hi, I’m Monique, jeans on, boots dirty, hands in the soil; and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Plants are my thing. I’ve been living the greener side of life since I named my first business Greener Life back in 2003; long before it was trendy to care about trees or the planet. For over 20 years I’ve been helping people green their homes, plant more trees and keep their potted friends alive and thriving. I just wish there were more people doing it!

At Greener Life Inverloch, I’m here to help you and your plants thrive. Whether it’s droopy leaves, pest problems, or a pot that’s clearly too small, bring your plant in for a check-up ; some call me the Plant Doctor, and I take that pretty seriously (in the most down-to-earth way).

I don’t sell coffee (I’m terrible at making it), and no one wants dirty fingers near their flat white. I don’t sell books either because after decades in the dirt, it’s all in my head. What I do offer is healthy plants, proper advice, practical tools and pots that actually fit the plants that are going to grow in them.

I've moved on from a big city garden centre Greener Life Inverloch is a quirky little spot just 5km out of town, tucked down a dirt track. Those who have been here will tell you it’s the place to come when you want your plant questions answered, your plant fixed, or just a solid hit of green goodness (as well as a bit of a laugh as well).

No fluff. No fuss. Just good plants and real help , because I know for a fact that plants really can make a difference; but that's a story for another day. Thanks for reading. Mon

We understand the only thing you really want to know about fungus gnats is “how do I get rid of them?” but here at Greener Life Inverloch we want to try and teach you a little bit of bug science so you can understand them a little bit more. WHY do you ask – because it may help you to change your plant care routines a little and actually stop them coming back. You know; stop the spread, flatten the curve , eradicate not just get rid of the ones you can see. The role fungus gnats play in nature (yes there is a role) is to assist the decomposition process on the forest floor. They feed on rotting wood, fungi, organic matter and plant roots of weakened or diseased plant SO when they decide to infiltrate your home you will find them infesting areas where water pools and there is enough moisture for fungi to grow; think leaky pipes, damp compost, mould and mildew spots, underneath pots and of course ; overwatered plants!
